Curtis Smith is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology, Social Work & Anthropology at Utah State University. He primarily studies homelessness and social inequality via ethnographic field research in Salt Lake City, UT. He also is trained in demography and studies welfare policy, mental illness, and immigration. He studied mental illness among the homeless and immigration at the University of Texas at El Paso during his MA in Sociology.
