Kristen Koci is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology with a focus in environment and community. She is a native Texan who received her BS in Sociology at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Kristen is currently working with Dr. Courtney Flint studying health risk perceptions related to the use of treated wastewater and irrigation water in Northern Utah. She recently presented work at the Break the Cycle of Environmental Health Disparities conference where she won the award for best oral presentation. Kristen will soon have her work published in the International Public Health Journal.
