Biography

Gina McCrackin is a first-year Master's student in the Department of Sociology, specializing in Environment and Community. She received her BS in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University in 2019. Gina's primary research interests are environmental justice and Indigenous environmental issues. Gina is particularly interested in gaining experience with qualitative research methods and community-based research. Gina is currently working under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Givens, where she is exploring climate change media reporting at the national scale, and looking to compare that to climate change media in Native American communities. In Gina's free time, she likes to hike, visit local breweries, travel, and protest.
