I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Utah State University. My research interests include health inequalities, race/ethnicity, social demography and Latinx sociology. In my dissertation research, I investigated how racial identity impacts health outcomes among Mexican Americans. In addition to my dissertation research, I have conducted research on the sociology of mental health, environmental justice, and various demographic phenomena. My work can be found in peer reviewed outlets including the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, Local Environment and Environmental Justice.
